It’s Simon Le Bon’s 57th birthday!

The man (and his band) are on fire right now.

Yes, this hot at 57.  En Fuego! Screen shot from the amazing Duran Duran video of “Pressure Off”.

Whether you’re a fan or not, you can’t really be a media consumer and not see or hear about Duran Duran lately.  The new album “Paper Gods” debuted at #10 on the Billboard charts and has been well received by fans and critics alike.

The coverage has been massive including the cover of Billboard Magazine in July, and even a feature story on CBS Sunday Morning.  As a long time dedicated fan, I couldn’t be more thrilled than to have this dynamic group show the world that they’ve still got “it” in spades.

Duran Duran just won the first ever Video Visionary Award at the 2015 MTV EMA’s just two days ago!

Duran Duran are amazing and after such a long career, they’re still putting out innovative music and touring.  Just a little less than a month ago, I was lucky enough to get the chance to see them four times within an 8 day period.  It was a suspension of all adult responsibility and a frenzied visit to my youth but it was also absolutely well worth it.   Seeing Simon Le Bon on stage is always a thrill.  Seeing him this close was mind blowing.  My recap of #concertapalooza is still forthcoming so sit tight.

Simon Le Bon has not only inspired the admiration of many but he’s the epitome of rock star class and style (Details Magazine September 2015):

This post was originally going to a dream list of questions to ask Simon Le Bon that were inspired by the new album “Paper Gods” but instead, I’m just going to take the opportunity to celebrate this amazing artist by acknowledging his birthday (as I often do here on the blog – see here and here  – although I didn’t do it last year for some reason) and leave it at that.

Happy Birthday Simon Le Bon!

Thank you for the music and so much more.
