I have a number of posts to share from my #secretvacation but something pressing has come up this week – My main man of Duran Duran has finally shaved his face!  The group Sparks said that “100 hairs make the man” in the fabulous song from the 80’s song “Moustache” but in my opinion that was not the case for my long-time faux rock star boyfriend Simon Le Bon.

Simon’s been wearing Le Beard and LeStache for quite awhile but earlier this year the ‘stache got out of control!  There’s a reason the British media called him a Ringmaster, the Monopoly Man and Salvador Dali’s twin.  There was also a ton of backlash from fans.  I was definitely among the nay-sayers about the look BUT I loved the fact that Simon himself was very vocal about the fact that he didn’t care at all what anyone thought and wore (and waxed!?) his own facial hair however he liked.

Duran Duran are in the studio now working on their newest album and within the past week there was a picture circulating of a clean shaven Simon and I for one couldn’t be more pleased!  So today this is my post to say Bye Bye to that “Moustache, Moustache, Moustache, Moustache” (if you haven’t ever heard the song (or haven’t heard it in awhile), click the link and give it a listen).  This is my parting collage:

I’m seriously praying that the facial hair does not make a comeback for the #DD14 tour!  I am desperate to meet this man before I die and I’d much rather do it without a caterpillar on his lip!

BTW, my real-life rock star boyfriend (aka Jay, my husband) has a moustache and goatee and I love it.
