Stadium Fitness at The Rose Bowl – An "Only in LA" Fitness Experience
I’ve mentioned in a previous post that I have at least 5 LA Fitness experiences that I’m dying to try. The goal was to get to all 5 by the end of 2013 but we’ll see what happens. I do have one to tick off my list and it’s something you can only do in LA!

Tunes For Tuesday – Billy Joel
Welcome back to Tunes For Tuesday!
Today I had to feature Billy Joel’s “Miami 2017”. The reason I had to feature this Billy Joel song today is multi-layered:
- It’s a great song. Period.
- It happens to be one of my favorite running songs.
- Thinking about the Sandy Concert For NYC performance of this song still gives me chills.
- We’re in the middle of having 2 guests stay with us that call NYC home but now live in Florida.
- I’m sad that I won’t be able to see Billy Joel perform on New Year’s Eve in Brooklyn.
- It’s Billy Joel. Need I say […]
Peace Love and Low Carb Cookbook Review + Giveaway
Since it’s fallen below 60 degrees a few times in Los Angeles, it’s officially considered cold and therefore, it’s definitely soup weather. I love soup at any time and since cooking more healthy meals was one of my #13in2013 goals, I was more than thrilled to receive a review copy of the new cookbook “Slow Cooker Soups and Stews: 30 Recipes To Keep You Warm During Winter” by Kyndra@Peace, Love and Low Carb.

Friday's Featured Female – Sam Bangs of Life Is Bangin'
Today I have another fellow FitBloggin’ 2013 attendee who happens to reside in the LA area, Sam Bangs of Life Is Bangin‘. Sam is not only a personal trainer and coach for the Fleet Feet Sports Burbank Running Training Programs but she’s also an Ambassador for Greatist, SweatPink (like me) and GirlsGoneSporty. We had a fun night together when Sam asked me to appear as the in-house Registered Dietitian for the Diva Night at Fleet Feet Sports Burbank back in October. There are many layers to this stunning and sassy girl from the East Coast and I’m really happy she’s guest posting here today. Soooo have you met Sam?

Disclaimer: I’m not a doctor. Not yet anyway.
“I’m wonderful! I’m nuts about me! … I’ll tell you want I want. I want a home and I want a family—and I want a career, too. And I want a dog and I want a cat and I want three goldfish. I want everything! There’s no harm in wanting it … because there’s not a chance in hell we’re going to get it all anyway. But if you don’t want it you’ve got even less chance than that…”

Fabletics Review
I’ve said it many times before that I am the furthest thing from a fashionista on the planet but it seems that I have a developing fascination with activewear. I was not going to try Fabletics, the subscription based women’s athletic clothing line designed by Kate Hudson, but Facebook kept offering me a 50% deal off my first outfit, so I caved. Just so you know, this post is not sponsored, these are my opinions only.
If you haven’t heard about Fabletics, it’s the brainchild of the JustFab group to bring affordable, stylish workout gear via monthly subscription. […]
Tunes For Tuesday – Colin Hay
Happy December and Welcome to Tunes For Tuesday!
Did you know that yesterday was my 1 Year Blogiversary? As 2013 winds down, there won’t be a specific theme to December’s Tunes For Tuesday picks – they’ll just all be songs that inspire a little positivity and happiness to help make the end of the year and the beginning of a new year an easier transition.
Today’s pick is “Beautiful World” by Colin Hay. If Colin’s name sounds familiar but you just can’t place it, he was the lead singer for the 80’s band “Men At Work”. He’s been solo for a number of years and his solo songs are quite amazing.
