It's A Wrap – #13in2013
It’s A Wrap – #13in2013
I can’t believe that the end of the year is nearly here and that it’s time to do a final wrap of my #13in2013 goals. Overall, 2013 has been really wonderful. While I was hesitant about making my yearly goals public, I actually liked checking in each quarter with my progress (even if I didn’t reach the goal I set). If you’re new to my blog or if you just want to get nostalgic with me, you can take a peek at my check-in posts here:

Tunes For Tuesday – Vampire Weekend
Welcome to Tunes For Tuesday!
Vampire Weekend might be one of the more contemporary bands that I’ve come to fall in love with. I knew about this band long before I listened to them on a regular basis. The lead singer, Ezra Koenig used to be a tutor to the daughter of one my favorite former work colleagues. I remember my colleague playing Vampire Weekend’s music to me (we talked about music a lot because her husband is a musician and Wild Boy was obsessed with the guitar at the time) and thinking it was a bit […]
I Wanna See You Be Brave
Despite the Sara Bareilles lyric this isn’t a Monday installment of Tunes For Tuesday but it is kind of an extension of Friday’s Featured Female. In the past week, I’ve read three blog posts by some fellow women bloggers that were just plain brave and I feel that they need to be shared.

It is not my intention to make the authors feel awkward by highlighting or bringing what might be unwanted attention to these intimate posts. I want Danielle@TRexRunner, Dani@WeightOffMyShoulders and Monica@RunEatRepeat to know how much respect I have for their courage. It’s difficult to be honest with oneself about uncomfortable feelings or situations in life but to take the time to translate those emotions into words and then share them with the world is extremely admirable in my book. Friday's Featured Female – Jill Griffiths of Tree Fitness
Today I’m featuring one of my favorite bloggers, Jill Griffiths of Tree Fitness. We met at FitBloggin’ and roomed together at FitSocial. Jill wowed me with her sunny personality, fitness outlook and the fact that she’s an entrepreneur (check out her personal training videos on FitFlicks.com), wife and a mother of 3! Jill also runs a gluten-free household not because it’s the latest fad but because 2 of her 3 kids have celiac disease. It’s no secret that I’ve referenced my friend Jill more than a few times here on the blog and since she’s very eager to introduce herself, I’ll just stop now and just say – – – Haaaave you met Jill?
Just a quick introduction, my name is Jill Griffiths and I have been in the fitness industry since 1999. I absolutely love anything Fitness. Throw in a crazy beat, and I am like little girl in a candy store. Maybe not the best analogy since I am a CPT, but you catch my drift right?
When Melissa asked me to write a guest post, I was more than excited and willing! I met Melissa back in June at the FitBloggin convention. It was kind of by chance that we met up and ultimately became roomies, and we have been connected ever since. Don’t you love finding friends that you just click with? Ya, me too. […]
