Last week I told you why I haven’t been blogging and now I get to share why I’m becoming a cliche:

I’m a health and fitness 45 year old female nearing mid-life.

I’m a transplanted New Yorker living a semi-mellow life in California

(minus the road rage)

and now

I’ve signed up for CorePower Yoga Teacher Training.

That’s right people, I’m becoming a yoga instructor.

By then end of 2015 I’ll be a multi-hyphenate woman:

Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator, RYT 200

CorePower Yoga, yoga, vinyasa, heated, yoga teacher training

I am embarking on this Yoga Teacher Training as an inner development exercise

(and to fulfill my Secret Goal ย – #9 – ย of GoReIn2015 ย of becoming a fitness instructor).

I’m grateful to have the opportunity to not only to delve deeper into my yoga practice but also to learn how to keep myself (and others) healthy and safe by coming from the angle of being chronically injured.

I also hope to be able teach yoga classes in addition to counseling women in my nutrition private practice.

It’s scary to consider myself a formal student again (going back for my post baccalaureate studies for Dietetics at age 30 wasn’t easy) but even without school, aren’t we are all students in life?

If we’re interested in learning, growing, connecting and expanding our knowledge base, then we really are students (and teachers!) every single day.

I look forward to sharing the progress of my YTT training with all of you and I guess if this musical genius and activist can call himself a cliche, I guess it’s not too bad to follow in his footsteps.

Moby, cliche, musician

Are you a yoga or fitness instructor? ย What’s your best piece of advice?
