Friday's Featured Female – Patience Bloom@RomanceIsMyDayJob
This weekly series features inspirational stories from admirable women. IMHO, it’s always good to be reminded of how strength, determination, hard work, heart and ingenuity can impact the quality of one’s life and I’m proud that these women will allow me to share their stories here.
Today’s #FFF is Patience Bloom@RomanceIsMyDayJob – an editor at Harlequin, runner and die-hard Duranie (she wrote a 50 page term paper on the band in high school and walked down the aisle at her wedding to “Rio”). Patience and I met through one of my best friends, Susie (who you might remember from my #SecretVacation5K), and had a girl-crush quick. Patience is smart, a little bit snarky and about to set the world on fire with her own true story about how a Facebook message from a high school friend changed her life in Romance Is My Day Job: A Memoir of Finding Love At Last.
Sooooo have you met Patience?

Today’s #FFF is Christine Yu@LoveLifeSurf. Christine and I have gotten to know one another in two very different and impactful environments that allowed us both to open new and exciting chapters in our lives. We were social media newbies together at the first NYC Fitness Magazine Meet & Tweet and since then Christine has gone on to become an insightful writer (on her blog and publications like espnW), a fabulous photographer (her yoga selfies are brave and gorgeous) and newly minted yoga instructor! I’m so proud to call this fabulous lady my friend.

Welcome to Friday’s Featured Female!
This weekly series features inspirational stories from admirable women. IMHO, it’s always good to be reminded of how strength, determination, hard work, heart and ingenuity can impact the quality of one’s life and I’m proud that these women will allow me to share their stories here.
Today I’m proud to present Kimberly@ManifestYourself.com. Kimberly made a deep impression on me with her Ignite Fitness speech about “How To Become A Certified Fitness Blogger” at FitBloggin’13. Her poise, warmth and love for health, fitness and the art of blogging allowed me to befriend her easily last June.
Although I’ve had the pleasure of getting a chance to hang out with Kimberly while I was in NYC this past summer, Kimberly’s blog gives you a great insight into this multifaceted woman – this Beyonce lovin’ lady puts herself on the page with honesty and grace that’s unmatched even while she describes the “ugly cry”. Kimberly inspires me with each post.

Friday's Featured Female – Tiffany @ RunningHutch.com
Welcome to the first edition Friday’s Featured Female in 2014!

IMHO, it’s always good to be reminded of how strength, determination, hard work, heart and ingenuity can impact the quality of one’s life and I’m proud that these women will allow me to share their stories here.
I teased you a little bit on Monday with who today’s #FFF (new hashtag and self-designed logo) would be today and I’m thrilled to announce that Tiffany@RunningHutch and RunThisYear is kicking off the series for 2014. I met Tiffany at FitBloggin’ and she made a tremendous impact on me with both her sweetness and strength. Her blog not only serves as fitness inspiration for me but the raw honesty she exudes through her writing consistently touches my heart and makes me love her a little more.
So haaave you met Tiffany? […]
Friday's Featured Female – Jill Griffiths of Tree Fitness
Today I’m featuring one of my favorite bloggers, Jill Griffiths of Tree Fitness. We met at FitBloggin’ and roomed together at FitSocial. Jill wowed me with her sunny personality, fitness outlook and the fact that she’s an entrepreneur (check out her personal training videos on FitFlicks.com), wife and a mother of 3! Jill also runs a gluten-free household not because it’s the latest fad but because 2 of her 3 kids have celiac disease. It’s no secret that I’ve referenced my friend Jill more than a few times here on the blog and since she’s very eager to introduce herself, I’ll just stop now and just say – – – Haaaave you met Jill?
Just a quick introduction, my name is Jill Griffiths and I have been in the fitness industry since 1999. I absolutely love anything Fitness. Throw in a crazy beat, and I am like little girl in a candy store. Maybe not the best analogy since I am a CPT, but you catch my drift right?
When Melissa asked me to write a guest post, I was more than excited and willing! I met Melissa back in June at the FitBloggin convention. It was kind of by chance that we met up and ultimately became roomies, and we have been connected ever since. Don’t you love finding friends that you just click with? Ya, me too. […]
Friday's Featured Female – Sam Bangs of Life Is Bangin'
Today I have another fellow FitBloggin’ 2013 attendee who happens to reside in the LA area, Sam Bangs of Life Is Bangin‘. Sam is not only a personal trainer and coach for the Fleet Feet Sports Burbank Running Training Programs but she’s also an Ambassador for Greatist, SweatPink (like me) and GirlsGoneSporty. We had a fun night together when Sam asked me to appear as the in-house Registered Dietitian for the Diva Night at Fleet Feet Sports Burbank back in October. There are many layers to this stunning and sassy girl from the East Coast and I’m really happy she’s guest posting here today. Soooo have you met Sam?
Dr. BangsLove, Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Myself
Disclaimer: I’m not a doctor. Not yet anyway.
“I’m wonderful! I’m nuts about me! … I’ll tell you want I want. I want a home and I want a family—and I want a career, too. And I want a dog and I want a cat and I want three goldfish. I want everything! There’s no harm in wanting it … because there’s not a chance in hell we’re going to get it all anyway. But if you don’t want it you’ve got even less chance than that…”
