Welcome to Friday’s Featured Female!
This weekly series features inspirational stories from admirable women. IMHO, it’s always good to be reminded of how strength, determination, hard work, heart and ingenuity can impact the quality of one’s life and I’m proud that these women will allow me to share their stories here.
Today’s #FFF Stephanie@FoodandFitness4Real, is one multitalented woman. This blonde former NFL cheerleader is not only a powerhouse runner but she’s also petroleum engineer, wife, mother of two young children, writer and recipe developer. If you didn’t know her IRL, you might want to smack her because she makes many of us (hmm – me) look like slackers. However, this pretty and petite lady is one of the nicest people you’ll ever want to meet. Social media brought us together but FitBloggin’ made us friends. Get to know this fabulous female right now!
Soooo, have you met Stephanie?
Hi guys! My name is Stephanie and I blog about balancing real life with healthy living at Food and Fitness 4 Real. I am so excited that Melissa asked me to write for her Friday’s Featured Female series. When I started my healthy living blog 3 years ago, one of my main goals was to inspire others to make healthy choices towards a healthy lifestyle. As a busy career mom, I know it can be hard to find time for fitness so today I am going to be talking about the importance of a healthy support system from Fitness Friends!

Today’s #FFF is the very amazing Debbie@LiveFromLaQuinta. As she’ll tell you below, Debbie and I didn’t know each other before Ragnar SoCal 2014 but another #FFF,
Melissa@MelissaRunningIt, brought us together. Debbie is a disciplined runner, a ridiculously sweet person and her unique dedication to both fitness and animals is admirable. As a runner and an example of being fit for life, Debbie has run 36 marathons (yes, 36!) and is a prime example of what you can do when you’re determined, dedicated and love health and fitness – there may be something to that vegan living! Learn more about this fabulous woman now!
Sooooo have you met Debbie?
Hi, I’m Debbie and I blog over at Live from La Quinta, where I write about running, fitness, and living a vegan lifestyle. I’m very excited and proud to be a Friday Featured Female. Melissa and I met when we were part of the same Ragnar Team back in April. There’s nothing like the shared experience of six dirty, tired, yet awesome women, together in a van for about 36 hours to create an unbreakable bond of friendship. I’m so happy that I’m going to get a chance to meet up with most of the women again in a couple weeks at Blogfest! Maybe we can discuss next year’s Ragnar (what do you say, ladies?). […]

Today, I’m featuring the super cool Alyssa@DoubleChinDiary. I met Alyssa briefly at FitBloggin’ 2013 but have gotten to know her better via social media. Alyssa was going to be my plane buddy home from FitBloggin’ 2014 but we realized we were on different planes (flying at the same time) but do you know that this fabulous woman texted me up until take-off to help quell my anxiety about my flight home? This sweetheart of a person is someone you need to know, if you don’t already so….
Have you met Alyssa?
Hello! I’m Alyssa from the Double Chin Diary, and I’m so excited to be here today! I blog about losing weight without losing my sense of humor. My sister April occasionally blogs for the Double Chin Diary, too. Like many people who struggle with their weight, I’ve always loved food. I grew up in a Midwestern family that considered canned corn a vegetable, and our meat and potatoes diet fluffed me up into a roly-poly teen. Add to that a lack of activity and, later, a habit of stress eating, and I was on my way to obesity.

Today’s #FFF is Nellie@BrooklynActiveMama. I met Nellie at FitBloggin’ 2013 and finding out that she was from Brooklyn was only the first thing that drew me to her. Nellie is a woman whose style, warmth and dedication is easily readable from just her smile – but there’s undeniable sass there too. There’s a strength about Nellie that’s rare. She’s sweet but she’s no doormat! I love that Nellie is all about supporting her community of women whether they be bloggers, health and fitness enthusiasts or parents. Let it be known that this woman has gotten me to get out my comfort zone not once but twice – in fitness (we had a very special Sweat Date last summer) and as a professional (when I was a featured panelist at A Healthy U, the health and wellness conference she helped co-found) and I’m forever grateful for both experiences. Nellie is a woman you need to know (if you don’t already) so I’ll stop rambling and ask….
Soooo have you met Nellie?
