Every year for many years, Jay and I have had the traditional Chinese Food take-out Xmas Eve dinner with our closest friends in New Jersey. We’ve been through many iterations of life together and we were all sad at the thought of not having a holiday together.
Thanks to Skype, we were able to continue the tradition with our friends tonight. I’ll admit that we were definitely missing New York Chinese food but we were so very happy to continue one of our greatest traditions with people we consider family. My Valentine heart is very full tonight. Technology is amazing.

A Jewish friend from So Cal just moved up to Washington state. The other day she was asking for help in finding a good chinese restaurant up there to “celebrate” Christmas! My contribution: Lemme know what you find, with pics! Which begs the question: what chinese restaurant did u find for your 1st California Christmas?
Btw: I wood think by now some Jews should be found in the kitchens of many chinese restaurants!
The picture isn’t from my food but we did get delivery from a local place called Golden China which was only OK. I’m not a huge Chinese food fan so I’m not the best person to ask.
