Today’s pick is “Happy Hour” by The Housemartins to celebrate a bunch of great things – Jay’s birthday (which was yesterday) , the arrival of great friends (who are in town for the week) and my upcoming So Cal Ragnar Relay this coming weekend.

The Housemartins had a #1 single with their fantastic acapella version of the song, “Caravan of Love” and wound up later spawning two major careers  – Norman Cook (aka FatBoy Slim) and Sean Welch (of The Beautiful South – a band we like in our house a lot).

I hope this upbeat fun song (starts at 00:51) inspires you to go to Happy Hour tonight.  I know I’ll be doing a lot of Happy Hours this week!  Yay!
