The one song I never expected Billy Joel to play at the Hollywood Bowl concert I went to in June was, “Vienna”. I went as far as to tell Jay as much as we listened to it on the way to the show. I love the song and when it was featured in one of my favorite chick-flicks, “13 Going On 30”, it was solidified as a favorite forever.
With lyrics like, “Slow down you crazy child…” and “…you know that when the truth is told that you can get what you want or you can just get old” that this song is one that makes an impact. I found the clip from “13 Going On 30” and I’m sharing it with you today. I hope you love it as much as I do.
What is your favorite Billy Joel song?
Love this song. But my favorite Billy Joel song is The Ballad of Billy The Kid. Long story when I was much younger and had a horse by the same name and was a huge fan of Billy Joel and discovered the song when things in my life weren’t so great. I love his music.
I have to say the old classic – Piano Man!
