I’m not complaining but it is strange to go from a cold, snowy winter to seeing blue skies, palm trees and gorgeous fruit all around.

It’s my family’s first winter holiday in Southern California and while we are all enjoying not wearing winter coats and accessories, it doesn’t feel quite like home yet.  I miss the energy of New York (but not the weather) but I’m trying to adjust to my new home.

I’m excited to be spending today with my oldest friend in the world.  Our families will be celebrating the winter holidays together and it will help to usher in the beginnings of a new year and really cement our new California life as we near on a 6 months of residence.

I’m looking forward to 2013 being a fruitful year in so many ways.
