Welcome to the first Monday in February people! It’s day 3 of my birthday month and thevalentineRD already have a 2 reasons to celebrate:
#1: Duran Duran HQ acknowledged this blog on Twitter (I haven’t stopped smiling yet)!
#2 : I was named the newest Digital Ambassador for the LoziLu Women’s Mud Run series!
The LoziLu (Low-Zee-Lou) Women’s Mud Run is a fitness event for women of all athletic abilities that benefits children with cancer – 5% of all entry fees go L.I.F.E. (the Leukemia Ironman Fundraiser for Eric – a non-profit organization dedicated to cancer survivorship by providing assistance to cancer patients in need.
In the fitness and blogger world, it’s easy to get jaded by Ambassadorships but I’m especially proud to associate myself with a small event series that supports women and has “we love fitness but we hate cancer” as part of their inner mantra.
Guess what? I’ve got a very good reason to get you want to skip to my Lu and then run to my Lu –
Use promo code: CRJWB to get 10% off any LoziLu Mud Run in the country (you also $10 off if you’re a student or military)!
(see below for locations and dates and feel free to share the promo code: CRJWB):
******UPDATE 3/13******
****Lozilu has canceled their Digital Ambassador Program and the promotion code CRJWB is now null and void****
Local LA friends, I’ll be participating in the 3/22 event at the Rose Bowl (I’d love additional team members) and who knows, maybe I’ll make it to NYC for the 7/12/14 event in Brooklyn? I’d love to have an additional reason to travel so sign up for a LoziLu Mud Run near you and maybe I’ll come and do it with you!
I’ve never done a mud run in my life but this one is a no-brainer for me – it’s a girl power event geared at all athletic levels that supports cancer survivorship and it’s practically in my backyard! This is a year about change and this is going to be a great way for me to end the first quarter of 2014. What about you?

What’s your best advice for a mud run novice? I definitely need to know!
Disclaimer: As a LoziLu Digital Ambassador, I do receive compensation for every sign-up using my unique promo code: CRJWB but I have decided to give a percentage of my compensation to benefit a friend’s young son who is currently fighting leukemia.
Congrats on your Ambassadorship! I just love how candid you are, Melissa… it is so easy to get jaded cause these “programs” keep popping up everywhere.
I’ve never done a mud run, so I can’t offer much advice! Just be prepared to get dirty. 🙂
Congrats on becoming an ambassador for the LoziLu! It seems like a great race… I might just have to sign up.
Congrats on the shout out from DD!!! That must be the best birthday present ever 🙂
This may surprise you but I have never done a mud run! If you come to do one in Brooklyn I may have to change that. I’ll be checking out LoziLu no matter what. Anyone who loves fitness and hates cancer is high on my list!
I have never done a mud run so I don’t have much to offer. I am not really a get down and get dirty kinda girl. I know that is shocking! So cool you are an ambassador! Yay!
Congrats on being an ambassador! Looks like a fun race. I will check my schedule and see if I’m available that day.
Hope you can do it with us! If you can, reach out and I’ll give you our team details if you want to join.
I’m not a frilly girl but down and dirty isn’t really my bag either but I’m all for doing it for charity, fitness and fun. I’m sure the pictures will be hilarious.
The shoutout made me scream…on a crowded Amtrak train and I couldn’t be more thrilled. No mud run? Yes, I’m shocked but maybe we can change that!
I hope you can! LMK if you want to join my team.
Thank you Kimberly. You always give me good feedback about the things I hesitate to include in my posts but do anyway. I dub you my lifecoach. When can we start?
OMG how did I not know this ail be your first mud run?? They are so much fun and the dirtier you get the better! This will be my 3rd! Advice wear old running shoes! 🙂
Oh yes but I’m looking really forward to it. Especially since I’ll be there with you Josie!
