You might have noticed that there was no post yesterday. My planned post was delayed when I opened my ChromeBook in the airport waiting for my flight home from #FitSocial (which was fun – detailed posts to come) and it looked like this:
Forgive me but I couldn’t write when I got home because I was wiped out from the conference. Please know that I’ll be sharing some great stuff in the near future but until I can write more, enjoy today’s Tunes For Tuesday (Eclectic Edition)! We’ve been going on themes for July, August and September and since I wasn’t going to devote a whole month to music of the 2000’s, Eclectic it is!

Since I’ve just gotten back from Colorado, I thought it was appropriate to feature one of my favorites, John Denver. Even if the world doesn’t think John Denver is cool, I love him. Not only was JD all over television when I was a kid (on The Muppets and his specials) but his music puts me at ease. It brings back some unblemished memories of my childhood and it makes me smile.
In my 20’s I don’t think I would have EVER admitted that I liked John Denver but with those years firmly (yes, firmly) behind me, I’m out and I’m proud!
“Take Me Home, Country Roads” is a song that reminds me to take in the scenery and give you a greater appreciation of what home means to you!
Enjoy!
Can you admit it if you’re a John Denver fan? If you don’t know who he is, please don’t tell me.
LOVE JD! Country Roads, Take Me Home somehow became a sort of theme to my wedding…which happened in Key West?! Very odd I know but someone started singing it around a beach camp fire one night and then we started singing it every night!! Great song with amazing memories for me. Love it!
I am so sorry about your Chrome book! That STINKS! And I loved JD. I always felt corny for that. But I also felt corny about loving Neil Diamond (LOVE LOVE LOVE) and let’s face it, they’re both legend!
Well HECK YA, I know who the amazing John Denver is. I went through a John Denver stage, and I can even play one of his songs on the guitar (well I used to be able to…it’s been awhile) My husband, however not so much a fan, so John hasn’t been played for awhile. 🙂
I love that! Hope Las Vegas was a great time too Allie!
I love finding more and more ways we are alike!
You can tell Corey that I’ll have to overlook that about him.
