I’m taking a page from my friends AJ @ConfessionsOfAFatGirl and Chris @WhatIRunInto and doing a “Five For Friday” type of post because from Thursday through Sunday, I’ll be attending the FitSocial Conference in Colorado […]

Getting Over The Out-And-Back Run

Running in LA is different than it is in New York.  The town where I live in LA is near where the fictional characters of The Big Bang Theory live.  If I knew I could see Sheldon, Leonard, Raj and Wolowitz on the streets near me, I might be motivated […]

I Needed A Time Out

There are days that I don’t want to do a thing – not get out of bed, not workout, not get out of my pajamas and certainly not take care of any of my responsibilities pertaining to myself or my family.

10 Tips To Conquer The Next Lululemon Warehouse Sale

If you are a fitness enthusiast, you know the Lululemon brand – it’s high end, luxurious, fashionable and expensive.  Personally, I’ve only ever bought a skidless yoga mat cover and a few headbands from Lulu because I’m so incredibly frugal when it comes to buying things for myself. A Busy Day – Bagels, Bikes & Bjorn

To lift your spirits a little after 9/11 I’m giving you some alliteration and a chronicle of the busy but amazing day I had last week.  Only I could have bagels, bikes and Bjorn packed into a Sunday.  It was a pretty fabulous day from start to finish!

Bagels:

Since moving to Los Angeles, my family has been on the quest for a good bagel.  I’m sorry LA, you win with the weather but your bagels are just plain lousy.  Jay has been schlepping suitcases full of Brooklyn bagels to LA with every business trip (nearly tipping the scales at the over 50 lbs mark more than a few times).

After talking about it for some time, Jay finally decided to try to roll the dice and attempt make his own bagels.  The results were surprising!  If you want to find out if water really is the all important ingredient, see Jay’s blog post.
