Ever since my Ragnar, it’s been a bit difficult for me to get back into running.
Even after the Boston Marathon last week, I’ve been slacking in the motivation and the execution department.
However, after watching my 7 year old win the relay race for his first grade team in the local All City Track Meet (after winning the Jog-A-Thon with the equivalent of a 10K in 60 minutes),
my running mojo was reignited and I’m proud to announce….
that both Wild Boy and I are being sponsored to run
the 2014 LiveUltimate RUN Los Angeles on Sunday, May 25th!

Isn’t that what we all want to do?

Who motivates you to run, exercise or just live healthfully or are you just one of those people who are amazingly self motivated? I need to know!
First of all, every time I see that amazing pic of you I think, “Olympian-in-training!” Second, I am so, so proud that you and M are doing this!! Thrilled that you feel back in condition and are putting yourself in the game again, and for such a wonderful cause. You are the best. Even if you did move to a galaxy far, far away. Sniff. XO
Awesome!! Fingers crossed you will be seeing me there!!
I’m self-motivated — but only to an extent. Reading blogs has REALLY helped me find inspiration and people to look up to fitness-wise over the years!
Sounds like quite an experience! And congrats for your son’s win, way cool! I’m a runner but I’ve never done anything beyond a 5k. Reading posts like yours are motivating, I need to kick it up a notch!
Wow – very cool! I had never known there was all this that you can do as a runner — would love to come out to support you!
Oooh, so much goodness here! Ryan Hall spoke at one of the race expos a couple years back, such a humble guy!
Congrat’s on all counts!!
Good luck to you both!!!
Thanks Caryn!
I’m hoping to meet him but we’ll see. I definitely wouldn’t be able to run with him (even if my little guy wasn’t running).
Wow, thanks Jennifer! If you’re around and planning to be along the course, definitely let me know beforehand so I can come by and say thanks!
Comments like this one make doing the blogging thing worth it, Donna. You made my night. Thank you ever so much for your kind words. It doesn’t hurt that you also understand my appreciation for all things Simon Le Bon either though.
I hope so! I agree, stories from others definitely does quite a bit to help motivate me. Meeting them in person helps too (you included).
I can’t wait to see you soon and nail down when you get to come here. Thank you for your kind and encouraging words. It’s hard not to have you and KL close by…for all of us.
That is so nice. Agreed – expanding your network of motivators/inspirators helps a ton!
