Welcome to Tunes For Tuesday – Being Thankful Edition!

Yup, it’s November and a time to be thankful. Every day we should be thankful but November is usually the time that we all seem to take stock of what we have and attempt to be more appreciative. This month I’ll be expressing some of my thankfulness in song.
Today, I’m expressing my thankfulness for Duran Duran. I’m still a little bitter that I wasn’t in NYC for the MoMA event but I’m thankful that after being a long time fan that Duran is around, making great music and still makes a great effort to connect with fans.
Duran fans know that an album (and tour) is forthcoming so for that, I’m thankful too. Today’s “Tunes For Tuesday” is Duran’s “Runway Runaway” from the latest album, “All You Need Is Now” (yet another pertinent adage). This song has been a power song for a number of my runs and makes me happy. Hope you enjoy it too (audio isn’t great but it is a live version)!

I had never heard this song before! They still sound like the same guys they did 20 years ago. 🙂
I have to state the obvious. . . Natalie Merchant is my go to gal for my song about thankfulness!
So much of the last album was made to sound like the follow-up to Rio which I appreciated. A little nervous for this next endeavor but also excited. This song is a great one.
