If you haven’t heard of Foodie Penpals, it is a great program run by Lindsay at The Lean Green Bean.  The program allows people to send and receive “fun foodie things, local food items and even homemade treats” with other food lovers around the country.

I like this program because I’ve gotten to try delicious new regional treats – one of my FPP’s sent me homemade tamale mix from New Mexico.  I’ve also been lucky enough to have earrings made for my birthday in my February package from my FPP, Jenni from Manhattan, KS (see here).

The goods!  That’s my dog, Griffin, on the left checking out the loot.

In March my Foodie Penpal, Roselyn P. sent me a box early in the month (she was on top of it).  I sent my FPP, Anne M., her box a tiny bit late (but she did receive it by the end of the month!) but it did include some California Hawaiian Style chips which I hope she liked!

I have to say that my favorite thing in the box was the Justin’s Peanut Butter (I’d link you to the website but it automatically plays music and I hate that).  I love the little packets as well (portion control is good for me with peanut butter).  Wild Boy loved the Annie’s snacks.

If you are US, Canadian or UK resident and want to participate in the Foodie Penpals Program in April or any other month, click here for details.  The sign-up form is about 3/4 down the page.  You must sign up to participate by the 4th of the month to participate.  Please let me know if you do and what you receive.
